The fundamentals of TPM and Lean haven't changed but there are significant gains from using a linked up information ecosystem to enhance systematic improvement and the journey to Operational Excellence.
This course provides delegates with the opportunity to understand how TPM and Lean principes are applied using digitisation tools.
That includes how to:
- Apply criticality assessments to set notifications flags that support routine coordination and surface opportunities for improvement.
- Target time spent on enablers such as training and asset care to enhance OEE, capacity, yield and energy gains.
- Develop trouble shooting algorithms to enhance feedback, drive simplification of routine practices and remove non value added activities.
- Blend the use of digitisation to automate routine with face to face interaction and visual indicators to encourage engagement, innovation and cross functional collaboration.
The course content includes exercises and case studies to explain concepts. Delegates then get the chance to apply the theory using practical activities on the production shop floor. This provides a "how to guide" to applying Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) and Lean Thinking principles using the enhanced connectivity of Digitisation and Smart Technology.
For Beginners:
- Learn how to apply the basics of TPM and Lean Thinking plus the gains from using readily available digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint to link up shop floor data and traditional IT systems.
For Advanced Participants:
- Discover how to blend Digital Strategies with TPM and Lean Roadmaps to take your existing Digitised Manufacturing Processes to the next level.
Over the course of three days, you'll:
- Work in Small Teams: Collaborate with peers in focused groups to tackle real-world problems and implement TPM and Lean principles in a live production environment.
- Discover where digital tools can speed up data collection, analysis, and communication to make your improvement process more effective.
- Learn how to engage front-line teams, ensuring their active participation with the Digitised Ecosystem to ratchet up effectiveness.
- Be able to develop practical plans to transfer lessons learned back to the workplace.
